A new, 30 metre-high observation tower in Bojnice (Western Slovakia) was opened last weekend. Its construction is similar to the one in the Moravia region of the Czech Republic. The original plan to make it 60 metres high met with the strict disapproval of preservationists. The combination of steel and wood offers a view of Bojnice Castle which resembles the Chateaux on Loirre. The tower is open every day from 9a.m. - 8p.m. and an admission fee applies.
