Munich Security Conference with Slovak mark

The Slovak International Security Conference GLOBSEC has entered into a partnership with this year's Munich Security Conference, which took place last weekend. Thus GLOBSEC become the first Central European think-tank of its kind to cooperate closely with this prestigious German event and share its ideas with more than 450 influential personalities. "We're proud that the Munich Security Conference has contacted GLOBSEC concerning the major security challenges that Europe and the world are currently facing," said GLOBSEC president Robert Vass. He also added that this was another significant sign that GLOBSEC's international credibility and thematic outputs were growing. "We also view our participation in this important forum as a sign that GLOBSEC and Central Europe are increasingly perceived as important players in the international field," he added.

As part of the conference, Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák and his Russian counterpart Sergej Lavrov discussed bilateral relations and questions regarding the United Nations, since Lajčák is currently also President of the United Nations General Assembly.
