A new observation tower is ready to begin construction on the top of Devínska Kobyla, a mountain peak on the outskirts of Bratislava. At 534 metres above sea level, the finished tower will offer views to Hungary, the Zahoria region, Zobor in Nitra, and the Austrian Alps. Gavin Shoebridge spoke to Milan Jambor, the mayor of Devínska Nová Ves, to find out when this €180,000 tower will be ready for tourists, and what the basis was for the unusual design.
