Legacy of the one who celebrates stars

On 8 November 1921 one of the greatest figures in Slovak literature, Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav, passed away.
 
Pavol Orságh Hviezdoslav was a man of many professions. He was a poet, playwright, translator, and lawyer, and for a short time even a member of the Czechoslovak parliament. His extensive work had a great impact on the further development of Slovak literature.
His legacy is so important that 172 streets in Slovakia are named after him. In addition to that, there are 3 squares in 3 Slovak towns that bear his name and there is even a waterfall in the High Tatras named after Hviezdoslav.
