The multi-genre book festival BRaK started on Wednesday in Bratislava's Nová Cvernovka culture centre, which will become a meeting place for book writers and readers until Sunday, 15 May. The festival is always accompanied by an exhibition of books from small and medium-sized publishers. This year among them will be the Ukrainian publishing house Vydavnictvo, whose owner Liliya Omelyanenko fled the war and will talk about publishing books during the war. Part of the programme is reserved for Belarusian authors who have personal experience of the dictatorship.
