On Saturday, 8th October, the prologue discussion of the annual JAMA festival will open in Podhorie, central Slovakia. The festival in memory of the late conceptual artist and experimental music composer Milan Adamciak will continue on 14th October until 16th October in Banska Bela and Banska Stiavnica, also central Slovakia. The intermedia art event is sticking to the legacy of human and artistic freedom with no stereotypes and barriers. As its founders and organisers claim: “JAMA is a natural place to create new – often site-specific – works encouraging collaboration and unexpected connections.“ The interaction of artists with locals as well as visitors or passers by underlines the legacy of free spirit combined with great intellectual potential and hard artistic work for which Milan Adamciak was known.
