European Writers Festival No 1

In May 2023, the first-ever European Writers Festival was held at the British Library in London. Among the 30 top storytellers from across the continent was Slovak writer Monika Kompanikova. „I completely realize now that we are a part of the EU while Britons deliberately gave up their membership. I am now more confident and think that we are not that exposed to the threat that is so close to us as long as we stay united,“ said Kompanikova in the interview for RSI. Discussing the United Kingdom's urge to sustain ties with European literature was also Rosie Goldsmith, the curator of the first-ever European Writers Festival.
