Martin Declaration - Slovak yes to Czechoslovakia

In the morning of the 30th of October 1918, representatives of political parties active in the territory of upper Hungary gathered in the town of Martin and established a new representative political body, the Slovak National Council. In the afternoon of the very same day, this body declared its wish to apply the right of self-determination for Slovaks together with Czechs in the document known as the Declaration of the Slovak Nation or Martin Declaration.
