UNESCO in Slovakia – Seventh round

After the summer break, we come to you again with RSI competition UNESCO treasures. In the 7th round, we take you to the last Slovak natural site of the world heritage list while as of October, we will present you with intangible cultural heritage of Slovakia. Today, our colleague Elena Seeber will shed light on the hidden colours of Ochtina aragonite cave.

The Ochtina aragonite cave is 230 metres long and the walk down its tunnels takes 30 minutes. The UNESCO site located 30 m below the ground surface is open daily except Monday from 9 am to 4 pm.
