As of October 1st the limit for guests at weddings will be set at 100, Prime Minister Igor Matovič (OLaNO) announced on Wednesday. The wearing of face masks will remain compulsory with the exception of posing for pictures, eating and drinking. The PM wants the owner of the facility where a wedding feast is taking place to bear the responsibility for the event but it still remains to be seen whether this is legally possible, however. The owner would have to report the fact that they aim to host a wedding feast to a regional public health office two days prior to the event. The public health office would release a manual with conditions that would have to be respected at the wedding. It should be done in the upcoming week. If hygienists or the police find out that the measures required by the public health office are not observed, the owner of the facility would be fined up to €20,000.
