Question marks surround purchase of tests for mass testing

The state concluded a contract to procure tests for the across-the-board testing for COVID-19 of Slovak population with a company that has an outstanding debt towards Sociálna Poisťovňa (SP) state social insurer. The Eurolab Lambda company, which should provide 10 million tests worth €43 million owns the state €17,000 in social insurance. "There is a suspicion that this violates the Public Procurement Act," stated Together chair Juraj Hipš. State Material Reserves Administration (SSHR) chairman Ján Rudolf reacted that the company paid its debt first and then signed the agreement on providing the tests. As of Monday the finstat.sk website was still informing of the company's debt as of the date October 12.
