Another countrywide testing that was supposed to take place in Slovakia in early December will probably be abandoned for the time being, said Prime Minister Igor Matovič (OĽaNO) after a meeting of the Central Crisis Management Team on Wednesday. The test kits that were to be used for this testing have not yet been purchased. At the same time, the Slovak Union of Towns expressed their disagreement with the Government's plan for another countrywide testing. Meanwhile, the number of mobile testing sites for COVID-19 will be increased and due to become available also in villages and settlements where the need to test locals promptly might arise, Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď (OLaNO) informed on Wednesday. The Central Crisis Management Team tasked the Education Minister Branislav Gröhling (Freedom and Solidarity) to draw up a plan for the reopening of schools by December 7.
