Romania sends doctors and nurses to help Slovakia

Romania sends a team of five doctors and nine nurses to Slovakia to help fight the coronavirus pandemic in this country. Specialized in intensive medicine, the team arrives in Bratislava on Wednesday and will stay for three weeks.

Last week, the Slovak government approved a request from the Health Ministry to activate the EU civil protection mechanism due to the deteriorating pandemic situation. Poland and Austria pledged to help Slovakia too.
