The Bratislava detention facility has not committed any wrongdoing in the case of lawyer Lubomir K. [name abbreviated due to legal reasons] who died in custody of coronavirus, Bratislava Regional Prosecutor's Office acting spokesperson Patrik Hujsa stated on Thursday.
"The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the defendant in the prison hospital in Trencin is subject to investigation," added Hujsa. Lawyer Lubomir K. died in late February and had been in custody since 2020. His death is the first COVID-19 fatality in detention in Slovakia.
