Epidemiological situation continues to improve slightly

The epidemiological situation in connection with novel coronavirus continues to improve in Slovakia, according to the Health Ministry. The more favourable situation can be attributed partly to the fact that the number of vaccinated people is growing. As of Monday about 20 percent of the 3.3 million people considered the optimal number to be vaccinated in Slovakia have received at least their first jab. Experts have noted that the turning point in the fight against the novel coronavirus will be the upcoming Easter holiday. They recommend that the public restrict their meetings with each other and attend religious services only virtually, as anyway there's a ban on public worship. When going to the countryside, people must remain in their own districts, with experts advising them not to join relatively larger groups and to wear face masks. People shouldn't visit the elderly, even if they've been vaccinated.
