First batch of 9,600 Johnson & Johnson vaccines to arrive by April 19

The first batch of 9,600 single-dose vaccines against coronavirus from Johnson & Johnson is expected to be delivered to Slovakia on April 19, with another batch of 16,800 slated for April 26, Health Ministry state secretary Jana Ježíková announced at a press conference on Tuesday. Ježíková explained that the ministry plans to use the vaccine in cases when it's preferable to inoculate individuals with only a single dose in light of their health and immobility. Ježíková pointed out that so far, the inoculation programme in Slovakia is going well.

By the end of April, Slovakia is scheduled to receive 347,790 vaccine doses from Pfizer/BioNTech, 70,800 vaccines from Moderna and 320,000 vaccines from AstraZeneca, 120,000 of which are expected this week.
