Slovakia to gift Czech Republic Moderna vaccines

Slovakia will give the Czech Republic 10,000 doses of Moderna vaccines as a gift, Prime Minister Eduard Heger announced in the company of his Czech counterpart Andrej Babis during his first foreign visit ever to Prague on Thursday. Heger pointed out that vaccination is the most important process in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic and underlined the importance of maintaining the vaccination continuity. Babis praised the symbolic gesture by Slovakia and called it a display of solidarity. Slovakia should be given priority when it comes to easing up anti-coronavirus measures on the Czech Republic's borders with neighbouring countries, Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis stated on Thursday following his meeting with his Slovak counterpart Eduard Heger in Prague.
