Government expand social measures

Slovakia's government on Tuesday expanded its social measures to help employers and employees during the coronavirus crisis, for example by introducing short-time work as an option. The other option will be the provision of financial contributions by the state to employers affected by the extraordinary situation, to be spent on part of the salaries of their staff, and to compensate for the loss of revenues by the self-employed. The state will pay up to 80 percent of one's average pay, with a maximum of €880 per month.
