Volkswagen Slovakia is set to restart production from Monday (April 20), the Hospodarske noviny daily reported on its website. The management of the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg decided to suspend pan-European production in mid-March this year, including the Slovak production capacity. However, production capacities in Slovakia should be re-launched in a one-shift operation from next week under strict measures to protect the health of employees. Meanwhile, the car plant KIA in Žilina, which resumed its two-shift operation on Monday, April 6, will suspend car production in its plant for serious operational reasons next week.
