Employers and self-employed people (SZČO ) paying mandatory health insurance can apply for deferment of retainers for March at all three health insurance companies following government-approved measures aimed at mitigating the negative effects associated with the spread of COVID-19.
These retainers are now to be paid until July 31st, 2020. The measure applies to those employers and self-employed, whose net turnover or income from business decreased by 40% or more as a result of an extraordinary situation.The clients of Všeobecná zdravotná can apply via an online form available on company's webpage.
The insurance company Dôvera is encouraging clients to use online forms too while Union offers the possibility to send the request by email at odklad@union.sk, by regular post or to submit it via its online service (Online pobočka)
