The Slovak economy is expected to fall by 7.7% at constant prices by the end of this year, according to the April macroeconomic forecast of selected bank analysts published by the Slovak Central Bank (NBS). The analysts, however, are optimistic about next year, for which they have slightly improved their growth estimate, with the economy expected to grow at a rate of 6.7 percent at constant prices. Unemployment is expected to rise more sharply by the end of this year at 8.3%.
