The state budget recorded a deficit of €2.42 billion to the end of April, an increase of 50 percent year-on-year (y-o-y), according to a Finance Ministry report on the state budget for April 2020 released on Monday. Revenues decreased by €165 million year-on-year to the end of April, while expenditures went up by slightly over €1 billion, or 18.9 percent. Negative developments were recorded mainly in the area of revenues from corporate income tax and revenues from VAT.
