If a general election had been held in Slovakia in May, the largest governing Ordinary People party would win again with 22.9%, indicates a poll conducted by the Focus agency. Smer-SD, the largest opposition party, which came in second place in the General Election, would defend its position with 21.6%, followed by another governing party, We Are Family on 11.2%. Four more parties would make the Parliament - opposition far-right People's Party our Slovakia with 9.7%, followed by Freedom and Solidarity on 8% and non-parliamentary Progressive Slovakia on 6.5%. The parties left outside the house would have included the Christian Democrats with 4.8%, the current governing For the People party on 4.3% and the ethnic-Hungarian Coalition party on 4.2%. The remaining parties would earn 2% or less.
The poll was carried out between May 14-21 on a sample of 1,011 respondents.
