Slowdown of Slovak economy second worst in the EU

The Slovak economy contracted more significantly in the first quarter than the average in the euro area and the European Union as a whole, according to Eurostat data released on Tuesday. The Slovak economy decelerated 5.2%  quarter-on-quarter, the second worst  decline behind France and Italy (-5.3% both). The economy of the euro area fell by 3.6% quarter-on-quarter and the economy of the European Union as a whole by 3.2%.
