The dean of the medical faculty of Comenius University, neurosurgeon Juraj Šteňo, together with Lukáš Plank, involved in lung cancer research, are among eleven people who received the Krištáľové krídlo award on Sunday. Dagmar Mozolová, a reporter from the public broadcaster RTVS also received this honour for her series on interviews with people who helped save Jews from the Holocaust during WWII. The expert jury also awarded philanthropist Marek Machata, climber Peter Hámor, economist and insurer Vladimír Bakeš, conductor Rastislav Štúr, singer Celeste Buckingham, sculptor Juraj Čutek, musician Pavol Hammel and actor Tomáš Maštalír with a prize. The Krištáľové krídlo was awarded to successful Slovaks for the 21st time.
