Penta co-owner willing to talk to the police

The co-owner of the Penta investment group Jaroslav Haščák is willing to talk to the police about an alleged SMS communication between himself and Marián Kočner, who has been charged with the murder of journalist Ján Kuciak. According to Penta spokesperson Martin Danko, Haščák decided to do so following last week's media reports that Kočner wrote in the SMS about his plans to take somebody down, and the reply was that they would talk about when they met up. "Mr. Haščák feels grossly wronged by the fact that he's being connected with events in which he has no involvement. If the authorities responsible are interested in his explanation, he's ready to provide it as soon as possible," stated Danko. Marián Kočner has been charged with ordering the murder of Jan Kuciak, who was shot together with his fiancé last February. He allegedly did so because the journalist had reported extensively on his business activities. Another four people who are facing charges in the case of Kuciak's murder are in custody.
