Unemployment at record low level

The rate of registered unemployment in Slovakia reached 4.9 percent at the end of April setting an all-time low record, according to data from the Labour Office. It's the first time during the era of independent Slovakia that the rate of registered unemployment has dropped below 5 percent. Labour offices registered 134,790 jobseekers at the end of April.
