Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini did not discuss his political future with party chairman Robert Fico during their meeting on Monday but he will present his plans in this respect at the Cabinet session in late August. The meeting was an ordinary business lunch, in his words touching on several issues, including the reform of the hospitals network. Pellegrini had supported the reform but while he was on holiday, Fico criticized the bill, calling the Health Minister Andrea Kalavska to the party headquarters for explanations and deciding to submit it to Parliament as a constitutional amendment. Pellegrini replaced Robert Fico as Prime Minister last spring following street protests after the murder of investigative journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancée.
