Law on abortions not toughened

The period in which it is not possible to perform an abortion will not be extended from the current 48 hours to 96 hours. On Thursday, the Parliament did not approve an amendment to the law, which aimed to prohibit the offer of abortion in advertising or to enforce the obligation of a doctor to make two images of a sonographic examination. One was to be given to the pregnant woman and the other put into her medical records. The original amendment contained a number of controversial points, which had to be dropped even before submitting the draft bill to the vote. I.e. the woman's obligation to declare to her physician that she had informed the father of the conceived child about her undergoing abortion, as well as the precaution that the "morning-after pill" would be excluded from over-the-counter medicines.
