Face masks to protect airways from coronavirus infection are to be manufactured by a facility called Zornica in Banovce nad Bebravou (Trencin region), outgoing Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) announced after meeting with representatives of industry on Monday. "The Zornica factory, which manufactures shirts, is immediately switching to a new production programme and, following an extremely short certification, will be capable of supplying up to 20,000 face masks to the Slovak market daily," stated Pellegrini, adding that he expects a regulated and reasonable price.
