According to Slovak president Zuzana Čaputová, the presence of a Slovak expert at the investigation into the tragic death of Jozef Chovanec in Belgium in 2018 could help to better clarify the circumstances of the case and bring more confidence in the whole investigation process. Čaputová will therefore ask Belgium to take into account this requirement, which also comes from the victim's family, as she informed on Thursday. On Wednesday, the Government tasked the Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok (SaS nominee) to use all diplomatic and legal means to ask Belgium to properly investigate and establish criminal and disciplinary liability for the death of Jozef Chovanec. Chovanec died in February 2018 following an incident with the police at the Charleroi airport near Brussels.
