The Episcopal Conference of Slovakia announced a strict fast to stop the novel coronavirus. Local bishops also call on believers to say a prayer for Slovakia every day. For 8 Fridays, from 30th October until 18th December, healthy believers should be fasting the way they do for Good Friday, i.e. no meat, a big meal once a day and snacks twice a day. "The Prayer for Slovakia should be said daily and should be shared intensively so as to create a penitent spiritual community," said Stanislav Zvolensky, the head of the Episcopal Conference of Slovakia.
