Vote for new Prosecutor-General postponed until December 1st

The vote for a new-prosecutor general, which was meant to be held on Wednesday afternoon, has been postponed until December 1, Parliament decided on Wednesday morning. While the coalition still hasn't agreed on a joint candidate, individual coalition parties claim that they want to reach consensus on a single name. According to We Are Family MP Milos Svrcek, if the coalition fails to agree on a joint candidate, coalition caucuses will be given carte blanche in the vote.

There are seven candidates in the race for the post, namely Jozef Centes, Tomas Honz, Jan Hrivnak, Juraj Kliment, Rastislav Remeta, Jan Santa and Maros Zilinka.
