Education Minister Groehling doesn't intend to give up his academic degree

Education Minister Branislav Groehling (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) following the Cabinet session on Wednesday said he does not intend to give up his master's degree. The minister was under scrutiny last summer for plagiarising his diploma thesis. On Wednesday, he noted that he had a review of his thesis drawn up and thus refuses to let go of his title. Earlier this week, the University Student Council sent a letter to Prime Minister Igor Matovič (OLaNO), calling on him to give up his master's degree, as he has repeatedly promised to do following the scandal of plagiarising his thesis. The prime minister in reaction to the Student council's call said that he would do exactly the same as the education minister.
