It should be possible to vaccinate people against COVID-19 even outside of doctor offices, with an eye towards carrying out the inoculation as quickly as possible. This stems from a legislation proposal approved by the Government on Wednesday. The bill will enter the Parliament in a fast-tracked procedure. In addition, the bill allows the testing for COVID-19 to be carried out also by third- and fourth-grade students of medical schools and introduces penalties for cutting vaccination queues and disregarding rules guiding the vaccination programme. According to PM Igor Matovič, a 10,000 euro penalty should imposed for each failure of the medical facility that vaccinates anyone without proper registration. Deputy Speaker Juraj Šeliga (Za Ľudí) admits that this measure may be amended in the Parliament, not to penalize the facility, but the perpetrator.
