Opposition: Investigation of Former Police head death constructive so far

The first incident concerning the late former Police chief Milan Lučanský was not a suicide attempt, the leader of far-right People's Party Our Slovakia and investigative commission member Marian Kotleba declared after the commission's visit to the prison hospital in Trenčín on Thursday. "It has been constructive and objectifying. From my point of view, the period of General Lučanský's stay in this institution seems to be without conflicts," said Kotleba. According to former Interior Minister and opposition MP Denisa Saková, the enquiry in Trenčín brought many answers, although some questions have still been left unanswered.

They both commented the findings regarding Lučanský's injury from December 9 suffered while in custody, which some suspected to be a suicide attempt. Lučanský's death after a reported suicide in late December sparked controversies among the public as well as politicians. The former Police Head was charged of corruption.
