Schools will continue with remote education as of next Monday January 18, as has been the case this week, the Education Ministry reported on Thursday. Only children whose parents work in critical infrastructure or cannot work from home due to the nature of their employment can come to school. Municipalities can open kindergartens or after school clubs for children. It was expected that at least the first four grates of elementary schools should go back to school, however, the epidemiological situation is too critical. "We re-evaluated this plan with experts and agreed that it would be safest for everyone to endure for a while longer", explained the Minister of Education Branislav Gröhling.
