Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok (a SaS nominee) believes that the so-called COVID certificate, which will enable citizens of EU member states to travel around the EU, will be prepared by the end of June. Korcok said this at a news conference held after a meeting of the chiefs of diplomacy of the C5 group (Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia) plus Ukraine in Bratislava on Thursday. Nevertheless, Slovakia is also interested in bilateral agreements with other European countries - including partners from the C5 - on acknowledging their respective domestic vaccination certificates, said Korcok.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who also attended the meeting, thanked all the C5 countries for their staunch support of Ukraine's sovereignty. "We've had the opportunity to feel this support in recent weeks. This support wasn't only verbal, but also in readiness to provide practical help to us," said Kuleba, who added that many Russian troops are still stationed near the Ukrainian border.
