Delta cases on the rise, vaccination lottery with draft rules

All districts in Slovakia will continue to be zoned green in the COVID status-alert monitoring system as of next Monday, July 26. According to the Health Minister Vladimír Lengvarský, no further resolution passed regarding the current COVID situation in the country and its borders. At the same time, Public Health Office spokeswoman Dáša Račková reported on Wednesday that sequencing of positive coronavirus samples has revealed 72 further cases of the delta variant of novel coronavirus in Slovakia. According to Račková, 63 percent of the cases were imported from abroad, be it from EU-members or third countries. Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry clarified the rules for the upcoming vaccination lottery, explaining that anyone who has been vaccinated, irrespective of the vaccine type, is eligible to enter the lottery. Prizes in the lottery may reach max up to 2mil euro per week.
