Health-care workers, the elderly, teachers and patients will be offered a third COVID-19 vaccination shot, Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky (an OLaNO nominee) reported following the Government session on Wednesday. The decision will concern people who received their second mRNA vaccine shot at least eight months ago. According to the minister, the regulation will enter into force on Monday, September 13. The health minister also announced on Wednesday that it will be possible for children aged 5-11 to be vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Thursday, September 9. He underlined, however, that vaccination of children against the disease is voluntary, will take place at the request of a parent and must be approved by a paediatrician or other expert.
