If hospitals in Slovakia fail to cope with the influx of COVID-19 patients, some of them will be hospitalised abroad, said Health Minister Vladimír Lengvarský. He also reported that Slovakia had received an offer to this effect from the EU. However, according to the Minister, the country is coping with the situation in hospitals for now. Slovakia used a helping hand from abroad even during the first two waves of the pandemic. Dozens of Slovak COVID-19 patients were transported to hospitals in Poland and Germany in the spring, for instance.
