Parliament approved on Thursday for a tax on the extraordinary revenue from Russian oil to be discussed in a fast-tracked legislative procedure. Refiner Slovnaft should pay a special tax on the price advantage that processing Russian oil provides to it, according to a bill on taxing a benefit obtained as a result of the special situation on the oil market. Russian oil has been significantly cheaper than Brent type oil in recent months and the state will use this benefit for additional revenue for the state budget.
