The USA is offering Slovakia 12 new Bell AH-1Z Viper helicopters with accessories, pilot and technician training, along with more than 500 AGM-114 Hellfire missiles in exchange for its donated MiG-29 fighters, interim Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad posted on a social network on Wednesday.
Slovakia would pay €340 for the military equipment, even though its real value is over USD 1 billion.
Slovakia will deliver fighter jets to Ukraine within the next few weeks, interim Premier Eduard Heger said on TV Markiza's politics talk show 'Na telo plus' (Tough Questions Plus) on Tuesday, not providing any more details. (TASR)
