At its session on Wednesday, the caretaker government decided to extend the deadline for paying contributions for providing accommodation to refugees until the end of the year. The amount of the contribution will remain unchanged.
According to caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Simko, many accommodation providers have established really friendly relations with people from Ukraine, thereby helping to create an environment favourable to their integration into everyday life.
By extending the deadline, the government was responding to the extension of the provision of temporary refuge status in connection with the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Migration Office director Jan Orlovsky said that contributions are covered from EU funds.
The contribution amounts to €10 per night of accommodation provided to a refugee, or €5 for accommodation provided to a person under the age of 15.
