Czechia and Slovakia cooperate on illegal re-export of medicaments
The Czech and Slovak State Institute for Drug Control are cooperating in the area of illegal re-export of medicines. The cooperation is taking place at the level of the exchange of information on suspicious entities carrying out illegal activities in both countries, and also in the joint planning of inspection activities aimed at such entities.

The Slovak State Institute for Drug Control identified large-scale illegal re-export of pharmaceuticals from Slovakia this year. Between February and April, around 4.1 million euros worth of medicines were to be exported, mainly cytostatics, immunosuppressants and immunoglobulins. Cases of cross-border exports of medicines are also being dealt with in the Czech Republic. The Czech State Institute for Drug Control has already imposed several fines this year for the export of medicines worth tens of millions of Czech crowns.
