The Mandate and Immunity Committee of the National Council will address comments made by MPs Rudolf Huliak (SNS) and Jozef Pročko (Slovensko, Za ľudí, KÚ), as confirmed by Deputy Speaker Peter Žiga (Hlas-SD). He has referred both cases for review and apologized to women affected by Huliak's remarks, suggesting he should apologize too. During the September 25 session, Gábor Grendel initiated disciplinary action against Huliak for vulgar comments, while Tibor Gašpar called for action against Pročko for disparaging coalition members.
The committee may recommend an apology for any member who insults the National Council, with potential fines of up to €1,000. Žiga also announced plans to reform parliamentary rules to better suit the digital age, with a working group meeting on October 1. He emphasized the need for respectful behavior in future elections and mentioned that the Progressive Slovakia party intends to seek Huliak's removal as head of the Agriculture and Environment Committee.
