Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok allegedly paid for his trip to Abu Dhabi, where he attended Formula 1 races in a VIP section and held talks on cooperation, following an invitation from the FIA president from his own pocket. The opposition criticized the timing of the trip in the midst of serious domestic issues and is demanding transparency about the trip's expenses and meetings. Šutaj Eštok defended the trip, stating he would fund similar future travels if needed. According to the Interior Minister, it is important for Slovakia to build international relationships.
