President Peter Pellegrini entertains a visit to Ukraine, but will wait for the outcome of negotiations on the transit of gas to Slovakia first. In an interview for TASR press agency he said that he will wait for the outcome of the negotiations on the transit of gas and other talks between Ukraine and Slovakia as well as developments in the military conflict in the next weeks and months. „Then, next year, we will consider my potential visit to Ukraine," stated Pellegrini. He pointed out that since his inauguration this year he has met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy twice. The two heads of state had bilateral talks, although not in Ukraine.
