Culture should serve as a unifying force, regardless of political preferences, says Culture Minister Martina Šimkovičová. She expressed optimism that 2025 will mark a significant change in this regard. Speaking to TASR, she described her ministry as being subjected to "the most intense media lynch mob Slovakia has ever witnessed."
Šimkovičová also admitted to avoiding cultural events such as theatre performances, concerts, and exhibitions, citing frustration with artists imposing their political and social views. "I seek a pleasant cultural experience to escape from such matters, not to confront them," she explained.
