Positively or negatively, history has always been part of the present. Post Bellum, a non-governmental and non-profit organisation documents the memories of witnesses of some of the most important historical phenomena of the 20th century and tries to pass these stories on to the broader public and thus increase awareness of these dangers. Inka Sečíková talked to the director of Post Bellum about their motivation for this work. We also try to find an answer to the question of how it's possible that extremist tendencies have so many supporters these days, even though we have the experience of the consequences of WWII and also the communist regime in Slovakia.
